Tiny Footprints hosts an annual charity gala in support of infant and pregnancy loss programs. Remembering every footprint, no matter how small.
We are hosting our third annual celebratory event on October 13th, 2018; the weekend of National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day. Our first two Gala’s were sold out events that raised over $200,000, funding programs such as educational videos for families and a much needed renovation of the Pregnancy and Infant Loss Clinic at the Foothills Medical Centre. The renovation provided the ability to relocate all services in one space of a wing in the Women’s Health Centre. This new space provides privacy and compassion for families who need the services. More importantly, it succeeded in creating a safe space to honour and celebrate the precious lives that have forever left footprints on our hearts.
We want to continue to fund much needed services such as counseling, informational booklets, teddy bears and other keepsakes for families experiencing this heartache to provide support on a tough road. It’s important for us to continue to remove the stigma of silent suffering surrounding this topic and allow people to tell their stories and reach out in times of need.
